Ornamental Plants

A wide selection of ornamental plants are available all year round, all at reasonable prices. Many of our trees, shrubs and perennials are displayed in an A-Z format, so it is easy for you to find what you are looking for. Containerised stock is always available, but we also sell hedging plants, roses, soft fruit, ornamental and fruit trees bare-rooted from November to March. Please call to check stock availability if you are looking for a specific plant.

Shrubs

A wide selection of container grown shrubs available all year round. We have shrubs for every situation and many different purposes - evergreen/deciduous, ground-cover plants, acid-loving plants, moisture-loving plants, plants suitable for dry gardens and bee and butterfly friendly plants. Many of our shrubs are displayed A-Z so you can easily find what you are looking for.

If you require something we don't have in stock, we always try to source it for you.

Climbers

From Actinidia to Wisteria, we stock a good selection of climbers. Available to suit any garden situation or purpose. Evergreen, twining, self suckering and scented. All our climbers are container grown with a bamboo cane support.

Roses

A selection of roses are available all year round. Stocking hybrid tea, floribunda, climbing, rambling, shrub, patio and ground cover roses. Containerised stock is available at all times. We also sell a selection of our roses bare-rooted from November to March.

Bedding and Basket Plants

From late February we stock a good selection of Primroses for instant Spring colour.

From April, bedding and basket plants are available. Alyssum to Zinnia, bedding is available in trays of 4/6/9 or 12 plants. Bacopa to Verbena, our basket plants are all in 9cm pots.

Winter bedding, pansies and violas available from September for winter planting.

Fruit Plants

We have a range of soft fruit and fruit trees available. Our fruit trees include Apple, Cherry, Pear and Plum trees all with an ultimate growing height of 2m – 3m. Plus some more unusual fruits such as Medlar, Quince, Damson, Apricot and Peach

We also stock Blueberries, Black, Red and White Currants, Gooseberries, Raspberries and Strawberry plants. Lots to choose from! All fruit trees and soft fruit are available bare rooted from November to March, then potted from April to October

Aquatics

From early April we stock a selection of pond plants, including marginals, oxygenators, Aponogeton, Water Lilies and bog plants.

We also hold a selection of pond equipment, including pond pumps and filters, pond hose and connectors. Pond treatments and fish food is also stocked.

Herbs and Vegetables

Selection of herbs and vegetables available in season with many favourites and a few unusual varieties.

Bare Rooted Plants

From November to March we stock bare rooted hedging, fruit trees, ornamental trees, roses and soft fruit plants. This is the most cost effective way of buying plants, so is especially good if you are looking to buy in bulk. Christmas Trees

We stock a good range of Christmas trees, both cut and potted, from late November until Christmas. We have both the traditional Norway Spruce and the thicker leaved Nordman Fir, which are favoured for their reduced needle-drop. These are available as cut trees from 3ft to about 10ft tall. Our container grown trees are more diverse in variety, and range from 2ft to 4ft in height. These can be planted out in the garden and kept alive after the festive season.

Bee and Butterfly Display

We now have a bee and butterfly friendly plants display! So you can easily locate plants for your garden that will be attractive and beneficial to bees and butterflies. Also look out for the black and yellow stick-in labels, indicating these plants around the entire garden centre.

Bulbs

In season, come and choose from our excellent range of bulbs including Daffodils, Tulips, Crocus, and lots, lots more! We also stock bulb planters and special bulb compost.

Seed Potatoes

From early January we sell an extensive selection of seed potatoes, including first earlies, second earlies and main crop.

Pet Care

A selection of pet care is available in store, mainly catering for cats and dogs. Products include, treats, toys, collars, leads and bedding. Straw and sawdust also available. New products are being added to range all the time. We have recently added Petface to our pet care suppliers, who offer an excellent range of dog and cat toys, plus treats for dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and gerbils.

Wild Bird Care

A wide selection available for all your bird care needs. Bird food stocked from 1kg bags up to 20kg bags. From seed mix to the specialist feeds we have something for all your birds. Wide range of feeders and treats also stocked.

Grow your Own

A vast selection of stock to grow your own plants and vegetables. Seeds available from Johnson seeds and Thompson and Morgan. Propagation units, heated or unheated, seed trays and inserts for your newly grown plants. Cloches to protect your crops in stock (polythene/fleece/polythene).

Seed potatoes, onion sets, shallot sets and garlic available in season.

Sundries

A wide selection of products to care for all areas of the garden. Composts, plant feeds and fertilisers, pest control, weed control and lawn care, and much more.

We have a large choice of garden tools including product ranges from Wolf, Spear and Jackson and Yeoman, amongst many others. We also stock many irrigation products including watering and water saving products.

Plant support product available including bamboo canes and obelisks.

Pots & Stoneware

We have a great choice of pots on offer in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours. There really is something for everyone, whether you prefer the modern or traditional look for your garden. We also stock a small range of stoneware including bird baths, sundials, statuary and garden ornaments

Landscaping

Stocking a selection of products for your landscaping needs. Trellis for your plant supporting, log roll for your borders, slabs, decorative stone and outdoor pottery.

We have a range of landscape barks and aggregates including grits, gravels & large rockery stones. All these are at very competitive prices. We also sell varying thicknesses of landscape fabric by the metre to suppress weeds growing through.

Gifts

A good selection of gifts is always in stock. These include Jigsaws, magnets, wind chimes and cards available all year round. Our range of Mrs. Bridges confectionery has proved particularly popular and make for very stylish gift ideas. We also have several ranges of gift cards - something for every occasion!
